Electro City is one of the largest independent electrical retailers in Ireland!
Established in 1933 Electro City pride themselves on the quality of the products they sell and the excellence of the service they provide.
They are a locally-owned and family-run business with stores in Kilkenny, Carlow and Waterford.
The Task
ElectroCity wanted to be better than their competitors when it came to eCommerce and online sales. They wanted to increase their sales online and make their website easier to use and customer-friendly. They needed to integrate their existing till system with the new website to cut down on wasted admin hours and make the customer experience online and in-store as smooth and as easy as possible. Owner Bill was worried about finding the right person for the challenge, but knew they needed a high quality website to help them grow online sales in the future.

Our Solutions
We worked with ElectroCity’s own in-house eCommerce department to design and develop the new website. Following on from a full audit of their old website, we saw that more people visited their site on their desktop and there was a high rate of people abandoning their carts before completing their purchase.
We integrated Flexi-Fi onto the new site which enables customers to pay using finance. We also implemented FOMO (fear of missing out) tactics and techniques to include limited discounts, abandoned cart recovery emails and flash sale promotions. These all encourage customers to make spur of the moment purchases, which help to continually increase the company’s conversion rates.
