Bantry House is a stunningly beautiful stately home in Bray, Wicklow. It has been home to the White family since 1739 and was first open to the public in 1946. Today visitors can explore the house and formal garden, have a light lunch in the tearoom or even stay the night in the B&B located in the east wing.
Current manager Sophie wanted to honour the heritage of her family home, while showcasing the estate's visitor-friendly facilities. The old website was created over ten years ago so wasn't mobile responsive, functionality was limited and the design was outdated.
The new website aims to attract new visitors in the competitive tourism market, generate more repeat custom and maintain the style, sophistication and charm of Bantry House and Gardens.
Simple, clean designs focus on the rich imagery of the estate and the beautiful Wicklow surroundings while providing essential information for visitors. In order to convert traffic into inquiries and sales, we implemented the following: innovative and visually attractive call-to-actions, fully mobile responsive development and a focused design and functionality emphasising usability.
Our developers created a new online shop for Sophie and her team to promote special offers and Bantry House merchandise. We also implemented a new user-friendly hotel booking system with clear, concise calendar and booking buttons.
Our website needed a revamp after many years of service. We're incredibly happy with the results from the team at Ireland Website Design. Our new website is modern, yet faithful to our home's history. The website is easy to update myself, yet I know if I need any help the team will help me a moment's notice.”
